MIDI In refers to the input port on a MIDI device that receives MIDI data from an external source, such as a keyboard or computer. This data can include information about which notes are being played, the velocity of the notes, and other performance data. MIDI Out, on the other hand, refers to the output port on a MIDI device that sends MIDI data to an external destination, such as a synthesizer or computer. This data can be used to control the sound of the receiving device, triggering notes, changing parameters, and more. **

Artisanal creative professions are occupations that involve the skilled production of handmade or unique goods. These professions often require specialized training, creativity, and a high level of craftsmanship. Examples of artisanal creative professions include jewelry making, pottery, woodworking, and textile design. Artisanal creatives often work independently or in small workshops, focusing on creating high-quality, one-of-a-kind products. **

Midi-chlorians are a fictional concept introduced in the Star Wars universe. They are microscopic organisms that exist within the cells of living beings and are said to be connected to the Force. While Midi-chlorians are a central part of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, they are not a real scientific concept or entity in the real world. **

A MIDI keyboard is a type of MIDI controller that specifically resembles a traditional piano or keyboard instrument, with keys for playing notes. On the other hand, a MIDI controller is a broader term that encompasses a variety of devices used to control MIDI-compatible software or hardware, such as drum pads, faders, knobs, and buttons. While a MIDI keyboard focuses on playing musical notes, a MIDI controller can have a wider range of functions for controlling different aspects of music production and performance. **

MIDI stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface, and it is a technical standard that describes a protocol, digital interface, and connectors that allow electronic musical instruments, computers, and other devices to communicate and synchronize with each other. MIDI is commonly used in music production, recording, and live performances. OTS stands for One Touch Setting, and it is a feature found in electronic keyboards and synthesizers that allows users to quickly access and switch between different instrument sounds, effects, and settings with just one button press. OTS presets are pre-programmed settings that are designed to provide instant access to a variety of sounds and settings for different musical styles and genres. **

MIDI files work by containing instructions for electronic musical instruments or software synthesizers on how to play a piece of music. These instructions include information on which notes to play, how loud or soft to play them, and for how long. MIDI files do not contain actual audio recordings, but rather a series of commands that tell the receiving device how to produce the sound. This allows for MIDI files to be easily edited, rearranged, and played back on different devices without losing quality. **

MIDI mapping allows users to assign specific MIDI messages to control parameters within a software or hardware device. This process involves selecting a parameter to be controlled, such as volume or effects, and then assigning a MIDI message, such as a note, controller, or program change, to that parameter. Once the mapping is set up, the MIDI message can then be sent from a MIDI controller, such as a keyboard or pad controller, to manipulate the assigned parameter in real-time. This allows for a more hands-on and customizable approach to controlling music software and hardware. **

A MIDI looper is a device or software that allows musicians to record and playback MIDI data in real-time. It enables users to create and layer multiple MIDI tracks, loop them, and manipulate them in various ways. MIDI loopers are commonly used in electronic music production and live performances to create dynamic and evolving musical arrangements. They provide a flexible and creative tool for musicians to experiment with different musical ideas and create complex compositions. **
